Description

Working with a partner, find a SHORT* quote (could be about art or design). *It is important to keep in mind your means of production. Typesetting a long quote will only prove to be frustrating and we have a limited amount of type and printing presses available. Keep your deadline in mind. Work with your partner to typeset and compose the quote. Consider how different visual hierarchy effects typographic messages. Working collaboratively , you will hand typeset, lock-up, operate, and clean the press. Be sure you take turns and share in each step of the process. You will be evaluating your partner's performance on this project, so no slackers please! Your goal is to print postcards that inform and delight a general audience with a creative approach to typesetting and technical letterpress printing savvy.
